1951 Johnson 5 hp decal set

STARTING — To start cold 
motor, open gas valve and air vent. Set 
magneto lever at START position. Push 
primer 3 to 5 times. Pull starter handle. 
After motor starts, additional priming may 
be necessary. Approximate opening for both 
needle valves ¾ turn from closed position. 
Readjust while operating motor.

OILING—Mix throughly in a clean 
can ½ pint Mobiloil AF or Mobiloil 
Marine Light Heavy or a high grade 
S.A.E. No. 40 oil with each gallon of
gasoline. Refill gear case with Mobilube 
GX90 or any other good grade oil suitable 
for automotive hypoid gears meeting U.S. 
Army Spec. #2-105B Grade 90, every 1 to 4 
weeks, depending on how much motor is 
used. Read the instruction book.
